Country Angel’s Network Kicks Charity Auction Into Super High Gear!
Jan 12, 2010
Nashville, TN (January 12, 2010) – After as slow-going October, the 13th Annual Country Angel’s Network Online Charity Auction gained major momentum during subsequent months propelling their cumulative raised funds to nearly $1,100! Bids skyrocketed throughout November and December, thanks to an overwhelming abundance of Collector’s Items donated for this event.

The momentum continues as the event enters its final leg with three big ticket AUTOGRAPHED items! Newly added to auction listings is an AUTOGRAPHED pair of Wrangler blue jeans that Jason Aldean previously wore! Another featured listing comes courtesy of Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush. The duo donated an AUTOGRAPHED Epiphone full size guitar, on which they have handwritten their band’s name, hand-drawn their logo of a heart with wings, as well as added their respective autographs onto the face of a brand new, never-before-played guitar!

Finally, Danielle Peck has donated one of her personal art creations, titled “Angel of Hope.” Danielle’s painting will be added to the auction listings later this week.

Jason, who hails from Macon, Georgia, donated eight other AUTOGRAPHED items for the current auction, which were featured in previous listings! Danielle also pulled an item from her closet and donated a tank top she wore; she signed it to the highest bidder at the close of that listing.

Additional artists who participated in this year’s event include Trace Adkins, Buddy Jewell, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, former Hootie and the Blowfish frontman Darius Rucker, Taylor Swift, Chris Young, AND famed “Nancy” cartoonist Guy Gilchrist, among many others!

The 13th Annual Country Angel’s Network Online Charity Auction is set to wrap later this month, with the grand total raised is projected to continue escalating toward to near $2,000 by auction’s end.

Proceeds from the 13th Annual CountryAngel’s Network Online Charity Auction will be donated to Hope Outreach Center. The organization’s mission is to do everything they can to ensure that children in the Oak Park community of Coffee County are safe, fed, educated, and live in adequate housing. Many of the families there live in extreme poverty (less than $6,000 a year), and 85% of the children live in a home without a father. Oak Park also has the highest rate of criminal activity in Coffee County, especially those in the nature of violent crimes and drug related offenses.

Hope Outreach Center provides these services free of charge: daily evening meals, laundry facilities, drug and alcohol prevention, parenting classes, drama and choir classes, after school programs, tutoring, GED classes, food distributions, clothing assistance, and more!

Hope Outreach Center is run by a group of volunteers with the majority of their funding coming from patron donations. They do not receive grants from the government. This past Christmas, Hope Outreach Center was blessed to be able to complete Christmas for 176 children in the area. Each of the children was paired with sponsors who bought them presents.

Country Angel’s Network events are held annually! For additional information on Country Angel’s Network auctions and updates on all past beneficiaries, please visit www.countryangelsnetwork.org.

About Hope Outreach Center:

Vernon and Angela Talkington founded the Hope Outreach Center in 1998. The couple was vacationing the previous year and had attended a revival celebration with friends. During the celebration, the couple noticed there were a group of children running around the area who didn’t seem to belong anywhere. They sought to help this community. Taking a leap of faith, the Talkingtons sold all of their belongings and relocated to Douglas, Georgia, where they still live today and run the Hope Outreach Center.

Hope Outreach Center is run by a group of dedicated volunteers. Hope Outreach Center has never received any government grants; therefore, donations are greatly appreciated! A constant supply of clothes, food, school supplies, among other necessities are available for those who come to the Hope Outreach Center.

Country Angel’s Network Spreads Hope With 13th Annual Charity Auction!
Dec 4, 2009
Nashville, TN (December 4, 2009) – Country Angel’s Network is spreading HOPE as they continue hosting their 13th Annual Online Charity Auction event! Current featured listings include items from Naomi and Wynonna Judd, Miranda Lambert, Martina McBride, Danielle Peck, Chris Young, and “Nancy” cartoonist, Guy Gilchrist – among others!

There are several surprise items in store to be listed in the coming weeks. Country Angel’s Network estimates the total amount raised will once again surpass $1,000 by event’s end. Proceeds from the auction will be donated to Hope Outreach Center, located in Douglas, Georgia.

Country Angel’s Network chose Hope Outreach Center as receiving beneficiary for their 13th Annual CountryAngel’s Network Online Charity Auction event because the organization’s mission falls hand-in-hand with the work Country Angel’s Network has been doing. Country Angel’s Network founder and CEO, Estella Pan, shares, “Since we launched our auction events in 2002, our intention has always been to better the lives of children, families, and communities across the nation in a positive way.“

Founded by Vernon and Angela Talkington, Hope Outreach Center operates out of Douglas, Georgia, aiding the Oak Park community in Coffee County. Oak Park would be best described as a distressed neighborhood – in essence, it is an inner-city situation in a smaller population. Oak Park has the highest rate of criminal activity in Coffee County, especially those in the nature of violent crimes and drug related offenses. Many of the families there live in extreme poverty (less than $6,000 a year), and 85% of the children live in a home without a father.

This video shows the work that the dedicated staff at Hope Outreach Center services to children and families in the area: Hope Outreach Center Video.

Hope Outreach Center has a mission to do everything they can to ensure that these children are safe, fed, educated, and live in adequate housing. Some of the services they provide include: daily evening meals, laundry facilities, drug and alcohol prevention, parenting classes, drama and choir classes, after school programs, tutoring, GED classes, food distributions, clothing assistance, and more! These services are always offered free of charge to children and families in the area. The couple concedes that “many people are not looking for a hand out, but a hand up.” Angela, adds, “You just never know who will come through those doors each day.”

Hope Outreach Center is run by a group of volunteers with the majority of their funding coming from patron donations. They do not receive grants from the government.

Country Angel’s Network events are held annually, with a new auction launching each October! For additional information on Country Angel’s Network auctions and updates on all past and present beneficiaries, please visit www.countryangelsnetwork.org.

CountryAngel’s Network Charity Auction Flourishes Amidst National Economic Crisis!
Mar 3, 2009
Nashville, TN (March 3, 2009) – In the face of an economic downfall, CountryAngel’s Network managed to raise an astonishing $1,400 in their 12th Annual Online Charity Auction for their beneficiary, Andy Dalberg! Support for the event has been tremendous from the start! Even after the auction closed at the end of January, donations continued to pour in, the last of which were received this week. One of those personal donations was sent by country music recording artist and songwriter, Buddy Jewell! Buddy had already donated several items for the event, including one of his own cowboy hats, which he also autographed.

Just as the old adage states: Every little bit counts! In the case of the 12th Annual CountryAngel’s Network Online Charity Auction, that philosophy certain holds true, as the smallest of donations contributed toward producing one very large sum! Estella Pan, CountryAngel’s Network Founder, CEO, and events coordinator, comments on wrapping up another successful event: “I am extremely pleased with the results of our latest auction! With so many people reeling from the nation’s grim economic state, I thought we’d be hard-pressed to raise even $1,000. It was heartwarming to see so many supporters come together in a big way for Andy.”

One of the many factors that prompted the event’s success was efficient and effective publicity. After an unexpected production shutdown midway through the auction, the event lost no time in re-launching their auction on a different website! Promotional pieces that appeared in the daily-issued Country Aircheck Today, and that were posted on GACtv.com and CountryWeekly.com gave the event its second wind! Radio was also a key component in the auction’s success, as the event was covered in the morning news on country music stations globally throughout January!

The most popular item was a George Strait AUTOGRAPHED Resistol brand cowboy hat which sold for $482.77! Faith Hill and Tim McGraw each donated a certificate that respective winning bidders could redeem for an autographed and PERSONALIZED photo from each of them. In addition, the country music super couple also donated eleven collectible items, which brought in a total of $365! Autographed memorabilia from Taylor Swift raked in $165, while an olive green jacket worn, autographed, and donated by Miranda Lambert sold for $175.

Other artists who donated items included Trace Adkins, Rodney Atkins, LeAnn Rimes, Jessica Simpson, Sugarland, Chris Young, and the cast of Desperate Housewives!

Next week, a check in the amount of $1,400 will be mailed to Andy and his family. Wheelchair bound since birth, traveling anywhere can be a lengthy process in it of itself for Andy, who resides in Kansas. The family plans on putting the funds toward purchasing a new wheelchair accessible van to allow Andy to travel with more comfort and ease.

Timing to receive the auction funds comes at an ideal time, as the 1984 van they had been using finally gave out in late December. Andy also celebrated his 14th birthday last week!

Andy’s mother, Della Folsom, expresses her gratitude in this thank you letter she sent to CountryAngel’s Network:

“I am in utter awe at the love and kindness that is and has been given to my son and my family. I’m at a loss for words as it is all very overwhelming! Then again, that is what blessings are all about. I wish to thank each person who purchased items and donated. I also would like to thank Buddy Jewell for his endless love and support, Mary Maggart for all her work getting items rounded up and for helping to spread the word about the auction, Mike Rodgers and Chris Young for always stepping up to help give a smile and love to Andy. Most of all, thank you, Estella, for all your hard work, determination and love that you place into every single auction that is held.

When I first told Andy about the auction he thought I was joking. He is so excited to be getting a van to transport him to where ever he needs to go. His first thing on the list is going to a hair stylist to get a new do. Without this auction, we were back to being trapped in the house and depending on whatever ride we could get to get Andy to the doctors. Needless to say, Andy is overwhelmed as well as I am with all the love from our friends in the country music community.

I pray that your auctions can continue for all the future children who need just that little extra something. And we are here to support every auction yet to come! As a parent, I can’t begin to explain what it means to know that there is love out there, to see God’s people getting together to help another out who is in need. Our children go through so much on daily basis and that is such a worry for a parent. Holding these auctions to help benefit families really does help take a load off a parent’s mind.

I will never forget the outpouring of love that came from the auction. To me, that is the greatest asset anyone can hold: the love of God’s people.

Thank You,
Della and Andy”

CountryAngel’s Network events are held annually, and the organization is already planning their 2009 auction, which will launch later this fall. For more information on CountryAngel’s Network auctions and past beneficiaries, visit their website: www.countryangelsnetwork.org.

About Andy Dalberg:

Andy Dalberg was born with Spina Bifida, hydrocephalus, and several other health conditions. He wasn't supposed to make it out of the Stormont-Vail intensive care unit thirteen years ago. He's not supposed to be able to talk, to recognize people, or to learn. However, Andy is more than alive. He is a smart, happy teenager, and has a most contagious smile – one that he flashes often!

Over the last several months, Andy has been fighting a serious bout of infections affecting his lungs, stoma trach, and ears.

Despite his seemingly grim and sometimes delicate conditions, Andy remains a remarkable young man with an amazing spirit and outlook on life. Those who have met him say Andy is a blessing and privilege to call him a friend. The following is an article that was published in Andy’s hometown newspaper when Andy was ten years old, which details some of the struggles Andy and his family face on a daily basis: www.webspawner.com/users/foreverfriends05/index.html.

About Spina Bifida:

1 in every 1,000 babies is born with Spina Bifida, making it the #1 most common birth defect. While there is no cure as of yet, much research has been done over the last twenty or so years and various effective ways have been discovered to lessen the complications and extend the life span of children who live with Spina Bifida.
CountryAngel’s Network Reels in Support From A-List Celebrities For Charity Auction!
Jan 6, 2009
Nashville, TN (January 6, 2009) – After a recent setback forced CountryAngel’s Network to shut down production on their 12th Annual CountryAngel’s Network Online Charity Auction, things are back up and running! The event – which was originally set to close last month – has now been extended through January 31, 2009.

Fortunately, the only thing lost was time. In fact, the aforementioned hindrance proved to be a blessing in disguise that allowed for additional requests for items to be processed. In the interim, items from Faith Hill, Miranda Lambert, Tim McGraw, LeAnn Rimes, Jessica Simpson, George Strait, and Taylor Swift were received!

The auction is once again in full force with several listings already posted. The remainder of the items will be added in the coming week. Fans are invited to bid on items by visiting CountryAngel’s Network website: www.countryangelsnetwork.org.

Proceeds from the 12th Annual CountryAngel’s Network Online Charity Auction will be donated to Andy Dalberg and his family. Andy is wheelchair bound and traveling anywhere can be a lengthy process in it of itself. The upkeep on their current 24-year-old vehicle has become increasingly difficult. Funds raised from the auction will be used toward purchasing a new van; this will allow Andy to travel with more ease and comfort.

CountryAngel’s Network has set a goal of raising at least $2,500 toward the purchase of the new vehicle. Though still a ways from their goal, the organization remains optimistic that the big-ticket items they’ve received will reel in some much-needed funds.

CountryAngel’s Network Charitable Efforts Gets “Desperate”!
Nov 24, 2008
Nashville, TN (November 24, 2008) – The cast of the ABC hit television series, Desperate Housewives, are the newest celebrities to pitch in their support for the 12th Annual CountryAngel’s Network Online Charity Auction! A color promotional photo autographed by Wisteria Lane’s most famous residents – namely: Nicollette Sheridan (“Edie”), Dana Delany (“Katherine”), Marcia Cross (“Bree”), Teri Hatcher (“Susan”), Felicity Huffman (“Lynette”), AND Eva Longoria Parker (“Gabrielle”) – has been added to current auction listings! In addition, Teri has donated an autographed promotional photo of her own for the event!

The newly received items mark the first time any non-country music related memorabilia has been donated for a CountryAngel’s Network event. “I am extremely thrilled to have the actresses of Desperate Housewives participating in this year’s event!” states Founder and CEO of CountryAngel’s Network, Estella Pan. In an effort to continue promoting growth for the organization and its events, a conscious decision was made to contact various entertainment industries, beginning with network television shows. “Inviting celebrities outside of country music to participate in our auctions allows us the opportunity to share our mission with a wider demographic, which includes fans who might be hearing about our events for the very first time.”

Never at a shortage for country music memorabilia, current listings also include autographed item from Sugarland LeAnn Rimes, and Buddy Jewell – who donated something from his personal collection!

Nearly $800 has already been raised from auction items and personal donations! With new items being received regularly, CountryAngel’s Network foresees surpassing $1,000 in the coming weeks!

This year’s beneficiary is Andy Dalberg, a thirteen-year-old who resides in Kansas. Because he is wheelchair bound, traveling anywhere can be an ordeal in it of itself. His family currently uses a 1984 van; on which the upkeep of the 24-year-old vehicle has become increasingly difficult. Funds raised from the current auction will be used toward the purchase of a new van. It will allow Andy to travel with more ease and comfort.

All auction listings are posted on the CountryAngel’s Network website at http://www.countryangelsnetwork.org. Listings can also be accessed directly via eBay at http://shop.ebay.com/merchant/countryangelsnetwork!

Recording artists and/or songwriters interested in donating autographed memorabilia for the 2008 auction should e-mail Estella at info@starcountrymedia.com.
