Successful 7th Annual MOONLIGHT MARTINIS Raises Funds for Cystic Fibrosis Research!

Jacksonville, FL (October 28, 2008) – The North Florida chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation hosted another successful Moonlight Martinis event last weekend!! This year’s event was held at Fogle Fine Art & Accessories with special guest entertainer and speaker, Tammy Cochran.

After hosting the reception and meet/greet for VIP guests, attendees were treated to cocktails and heavy hors d’oeuvres beginning at 8 PM. The gallery provided the perfect relaxed ambiance for guests to mingle throughout the entire space to exchange stories and experiences with each other.

Tammy took the stage an hour later for a 20-minute intimate performance. She paused her performance for the live auction. Many of the packages created quite a stir, but it was the in-home dinner parties that proved most popular among this crowd! Also a favorite was the package including TWO tickets to next year’s Academy of Country Music (ACM) Awards in Las Vegas raising $2,400. All in all, more than $10,000 was raised from all auction packages!

After the live auction, Tammy once again graced the stage to share how Cystic Fibrosis has affected her family. She reflected on growing up with her two brothers both of whom succumbed to the disease and closed her speech with a moving performance of “Angels in Waiting.” As Tammy sang, the tearjerker music video for her Top 10 single played on plasma screens throughout the gallery.

Next on the agenda was the Bid For a Cure. Guests were asked to make monetary donations that would strictly go to science and the research working to find the cure for CF. These are 100% tax-deductible donations. This portion of the event raised another $10,000.

Deciding that even more money needed to be raised, Tammy picked up the microphone and quipped that she would personally frisk everyone in attendance for any coins and cash they have on them in efforts to up the grand total raised during the event! While no actual frisking took place, Tammy did make her rounds to every single person in the room asking for donations and collected an additional $500!

Towards the end of the event came the special prize drawing. The “Diamond in a Pearl” pendant was awarded to Bill and Pat Marks, who held the winning ticket pulled.

By evening’s end, a wonderful time was had by all!

Unable to attend this year’s event herself, STAR Country Media’s Public Relations Director, Estella Pan, chose Jacksonville residents Scott and Jada Ose to attend in her place. Their daughter, Zoe Isabella Ose, is living with Cystic Fibrosis. Now four years old, Zoe was diagnosed with CF the day before her first birthday. Jada maintains a blog to document their daughter’s journey in surviving CF: www.zoeforlife.blogspot.com.

STAR Country Media Sponsors Ose Family For 7th Annual MOONLIGHT MARTINIS!

Jacksonville, FL (October 16, 2008) – The 7th Annual Moonlight Martinis has finally arrived! This event – presented by THE PLAYERS – will be held this Saturday, October 18, 2008!! It will be held at Fogle Fine Art & Accessories, a local art gallery (Address: 3312 Beach Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32207).

Moonlight Martinis is an annual event organized by the North Florida chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation to raise funds and awareness for the detrimental lung disease that has affected so many.

Zoe Isabella Ose is one such individual. Zoe was diagnosed with CF on the day before her first birthday. In addition to medications, Zoe also has a routine regimen for airway clearance therapy treatments and manual chest physiotherapy several times a time.

STAR Country Media’s Public Relations Director, Estella Pan, is unable to attend this year’s Moonlight Martinis event and therefore has chosen Zoe’s parents, Scott and Jada, to attend in her place.

Multi-platinum selling recording artist and songwriter, Tammy Cochran, will be on hand to provide musical entertainment. A VIP reception and meet/greet with Tammy will be held between 7 – 8PM (Eastern time), with Moonlight Martinis officially kicking off at 8PM! Tammy will share her own story on how Cystic Fibrosis has affected her personally and then close the evening with her Top 10 single, "Angels in Waiting," which she co-wrote to honor her brothers’ memories.

In addition to martinis, food, music, and auction, a special prize drawing will also be featured during the evening! The prize is a stunning "Diamond in a Pearl" pendant, a 9.5mm Black Tahitian Pearl that has been laser cut into a Rose. In its center, set in 18-karat white gold, is a 20pt round brilliant diamond! The pendant hangs on an 18-inch 18-karat white gold chain. This prize – valued at $2,500! – has been donated by Gregory’s Jewelers. Prize drawing tickets are a minimum donation of $25!

General tickets for the 7th Annual Moonlight Martinis are $125. Tax-deductible sponsorship levels are also available from $10,000 to $500. Sponsors who support at $2,500 or above will be invited to a private VIP reception with Tammy. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

Jacksonville, FL (September 9, 2008) – The North Florida chapter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation is set to host its 7th Annual Moonlight Martinis event on Saturday, October 18, 2008!! The event will feature Multi-platinum selling recording artist and songwriter, Tammy Cochran, who will serve as the special celebrity artist AND guest speaker. After a VIP and meet/greet reception, Tammy will play an intimate 30-minute set to include songs from her current album, Where I Am. She will also share her inspirational story on how Cystic Fibrosis has affected her personally and then close the evening with her Top 10 single, “Angels in Waiting,” which she co-wrote to honor her brothers’ memories.

Moonlight Martinis raised $33,000 during its first event. This year, the sights are set for raising upwards of $150,000!
