STAR COUNTRY MEDIA Is Working With Some “Big Stars”!
Jul 21, 2008
Nashville, TN (July 21, 2008) – Two artists currently utilizing STAR COUNTRY MEDIA services are enjoying the aftermath from “The Next Big Star”! Named after one of Kenny Chesney’s previous hits, thirty-three (33) Hard Rock Café locations across the country have been hosting “The Next Big Star” competitions in conjunction with Kenny’s current Poets & Pirates tour. Local radio stations affiliated with the contest invited interested acts to submit a career biography, promotional photos, a live performance video, and/or audio for one original song. Four finalists from each city are then chosen to compete in front of a panel of judges and a live audience at the local Hard Rock Café. The winner named from each city wins the opportunity to open for the reigning Country Music Association (CMA) and Academy of Country Music (ACM) Entertainer of the Year!

On July 19, BILLY CHILDERS was one of the four finalists to compete at the Hard Rock Café in downtown Chicago, Illinois! His set included “A Man’s Gotta Do… What a Man’s Gotta Do” (his current single), “Southern Streamline,” “June 99,” and “Cowboy Up.” Billy was the first to take the stage first at the Hard Rock Café and later that evening was named the WINNER for Chicago’s “The Next Big Star”! His prize included the opportunity to open for Kenny Chesney, playing for an estimated 50,000-60,000 fans who turned out to Soldier’s Field for the July 20 Poets & Pirates concert that also included Gary Allan, Luke Bryan, LeAnn Rimes, and Keith Urban!

A couple weeks later, Georgia native, JESSICA CAYNE URICK, was chosen by Atlanta-based country radio station, 94.9 FM “The Bull,” as one of ten local semi-finalists! The radio station asked listeners and fans to vote for their favorite act between June 30 and July 6, with the four acts receiving the most votes advancing into the finals. After being voted into the Top 4, Jessica was invited to be a special in-studio guest on Live With the Cledus T. Party! on Friday, July 11. Comedian-turned-radio disc jockey, Cledus T. Judd, Jamie Massey, and Slam Duncan interviewed Jessica during the 8AM hour, at the end of which she treated the station’s airstaff and listeners to a live acoustic performance of her self-penned original, “Pour Some Whiskey On It.”

The following evening, Jessica – who was the last finalist scheduled to take the stage at Hard Rock Café (Velvet Underground) – had the honor of having Kenny open for her when he made a surprise appearance right before her set! Kenny jumped on stage and sang his rendition of Jimmy Buffett’s “Why Don’t We Get Drunk (and Screw)” and his own song, “Old Blue Chair,” before hopping off the stage and out the door. Jessica closed out the show and impressed judges with her captivating stage presence and well-penned songs! After an exciting evening, Jessica placed First Runner Up for Atlanta!

With his win, Billy advances into the final level of competition for the Grand Prize to be held later this year. The Grand-Prize Winner’s package includes:

1. Travel by tour bus to take the stage on the THREE final dates on the Poets and Pirates Tour! (September 10, 2008 in Tulsa, Oklahoma; September 11, 2008 in St. Louis, Missouri; and September 13, 2008 in Indianapolis, Indiana.)

2. $25,000 cash prize!

3. An audition for record company executives at Sony BMG Music (musical home to Kenny Chesney, Alan Jackson, Martina McBride, Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, among others)!

STAR Country Media congratulates both artists and wishes Billy good luck as he continues his “Next Big Star” journey in the coming months!

STAR COUNTRY MEDIA Secures Exclusive Agreement to Represent Texas Singer/Songwriter/Actress DEANNE MOORE!
Feb 8, 2008

Dallas, TX (February 8, 2008) – STAR COUNTRY MEDIA is proud to introduce rising star, DEANNE MOORE, to the country music community! DeAnne contacted the independent public relations and promotions firm in hopes of securing support for her debut album, Never Too Late. Estella Pan, STAR Country Media's Public Relations Director, raves about her new client: "From the first notes of hearing 'Cowboy Talkin', I was instantly sold! In addition to having recorded easily relate-able songs with uplifting messages for her album, DeAnne also possesses a voice that naturally draws you into each song. The fact that she exudes a positive energy about her is a major plus, and I am elated to have her on my artist roster!"

The singer/songwriter/actress is just as excited to get the ball rolling on her career with the reputable firm, stating, "One of the best decisions I made was to work with Estella Pan of STAR Country Media. I needed someone who shared the same level of passion with me, and I believe I found it in Estella. She is a ball of energy and doesn’t miss a beat. To have someone in your corner who truly believes in you and what you are doing is a blessing. I am eternally grateful for having her on my team."

STAR Country Media's primary focus at hand is Never Too Late, which features a total of twelve tracks (DeAnne shares writing credits on three songs). The kickoff single is "Cowboy Talkin'," a tongue in cheek upbeat tune set to impact radio in March. DeAnne says about the song: "When I first heard [this song], I thought…HOW TRUE IS THAT?? I knew it would be a song so many people could relate to, and that is very important to me. I want to write and sing songs that when you hear it, you think, I do that too! or I feel that way too!"

ABOUT DEANNE MOORE:

Knowing the value of hard work and the rewards it brings, this Dallas, Texas native is far from just a pretty face. DeAnne holds a Master's Degree in Counseling and has an extensive acting résumé. Under the name DeAnne Bonneau, her credits includes television (guest appearances on the long-running daytime drama, The Bold and the Beautiful to the steamy primetime Baywatch), motion pictures (Lifetime movie Inspector Mom and the Chuck Norris-produced Birdie & Bogey), theater (Steel Magnolias, Oklahoma), commercials/voiceovers, and print ads. DeAnne also had a co-hosting stint for two years on WizeTrade TV, an informative stock market television show.

During the last year, DeAnne turned her creative energy toward recording Never Too Late. Following the lead from the album's title track (a song she also co-wrote), she has taken reigns on her music career and is going for it with everything she's got! DeAnne literally lives every word of the song's chorus:

It's NEVER TOO LATE to catch the moment, It's NEVER TOO LATE to touch the sky, It's NEVER TOO LATE to start all over, Follow your dream 'til the day you die.

On top of her career aspirations, DeAnne also relishes in motherhood. Though it makes for some very hectic days, she takes it all in stride. "Being a mom of three kids is not easy. Anyone who has been a mother for more than five minutes knows what I mean! At this stage of my life, after the struggles and the good times, I just knew that I wanted to give it all I had." She reasons, "After all, you only live once. It’s never too late! I think that everyone needs to do what [he or she] feels in their heart is what they truly want to do. It doesn't matter how old you are, how pretty you are, how ugly your past is, as the song says: 'Yesterday was but there's still tomorrow.' AMEN!"

mp3 for "Cowboy Talkin'" is available upon request. Media members may download DeAnne Moore's electronic press kit here: http://www.dtcs.net/press_kit_v3.pdf.

STAR COUNTRY MEDIA Sparkles All Around With ReNEWed Radiance!
Sep 13, 2007
Nashville, TN (September 13, 2007) – Today marks the five-month anniversary since STAR Country Media first opened our doors to the country music community and we are celebrating by revealing our NEW website, MySpace page, AND company logo! David Keller of Digital Dreamz was the mastermind behind it all, creating a layout that allows our website and MySpace page to illuminate with over-the-top elegance! In addition, STAR Country Media's new company logo (seen at the top of this website) is also David's handiwork.

During our initial five months in business, we, as an independent full-service public relations and promotions company, have made tremendous strides in ensuring our artists continue to shine! Within weeks of the company's official launching, Estella Pan, STAR Country Media's Owner/Public Relations Director, originated and implemented aggressive publicity campaigns which allowed two of our current artists to generate some enormous splashes during this year's CMA Music Festival (aka – Fan Fair)! Our artists have been featured in Country Weekly, "picked" on After MidNite, spotlighted at Country Stars Online, "recapped" in Indie Islands eMagazine, and they've been interviewed for publications and websites based in Canada, England, Germany, the Netherlands, Switzerland, and more!

Our STAR artist roster includes Tammy Cochran, Jason Coley, and Sharmian. We also have one corporate client: CountryAngel's Network is a non-profit organization that hosts online auctions to raise money for various children's charities. Since 2002, CountryAngel's Network has donated thousands of dollars to the Spina Bifida Association, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, among others.

Here is a summary of what each of our artists has been up to:

Tammy Cochran TAMMY COCHRAN's third album, Where I Am, marks her return onto the country music scene. (She previously earned top 40 hits with "I Cry" and "Life Happened," and a Top 10 hit with "Angels in Waiting.") Now signed with Shanachie Records, Where I Am re-released in July; Tammy wrote or co-wrote all twelve songs on the album. The title track is her current single. STAR Country Media's charter artist says, "Estella is the hardest working PR gal I know! She deserves total success and is well on her way!" Tammy is currently in contention for Favorite Female Artist in an Indie Islands eMagazine poll. Fans are speaking loud and clear, helping her maintain a strong lead. Contest ends October 31: Vote Tammy Cochran Your Favorite Female Artist! Music aside, Tammy is a lifetime supporter of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF). Fittingly, a portion of proceeds from each copy of Where I Am sold will benefit the CFF.

JASON COLEY has been promoting his current single, "Shotgun" via a jam-packed touring and interviews schedule! In addition to his Six Flags Over Georgia shows, Jason has kicked off both the Atlanta Braves AND the Atlanta Falcons home games, performing for crowds of more than 50,000 sports fans! This Friday and Saturday, Jason is booked at Cowboy's in Kennesaw, Georgia. On Sunday, he'll close out an extensive run at Six Flags (performing FIVE sets per show date – over 300 total shows this season!). One week later, on September 23, Jason is scheduled to open for Carolina Rain at the venue; this will be his first time opening for a national act! The 20-year-old Georgia resident says, "Estella is awesome at promoting artists and I appreciate all that she is doing for me." Jason's father and manager, Joey Byrd, agrees. "STAR Country Media is a fantastic tool for any manager to work with. I am impressed with what all Estella is doing for Jason." He continues, "She has opened doors for Jason that I could have never done." Jason will head to Nashville in early October for live showcases with TWO major record labels!

SHARMIAN is currently vying for the top spot in the NEW! Discover Music/Clear Channel Online Music & Radio rankings. Her new single, "I Drank Myself to Bed" was entered into that chart on August 6, and in five weeks, it sits just outside of the Top 15! (Her single ranks #16 against the 784 total submitted songs.) Rankings are determined by total number of plays that songs receive. With new opportunities to pursue all the time, Sharmian raves about having STAR Country Media in charge of her day-to-day publicity and promotions. "Estella Pan is one of the hardest working, honorable, and loyal ladies that I've ever worked with in country music. She knows talent when she hears it, and that's what really motivates her hard work." She adds, "Because of this, I predict that she will be one of the hottest PR ladies in country music at the height of her career. She might even have one of the most successful PR firms in country music in a few years! She has my vote – I will always want her on my team!" This month finds Sharmian zipping back and forth from Nashville, TN to Los Angeles, CA! On September 15, she is scheduled for a television acoustic performance taping. Then, she'll head back to Hollywood to prepare for her starring role in a reality show to be aired on a major television network!

In addition to the monthly retainer structure, STAR Country Media also offers publicity and promotions on per project, special events, or hourly basis (full summary available on our website).

STAR Country Media maintains a strong commitment to unveiling the STAR in each of our artists and showcasing their respective merits to the country music community.
